SmartSeeds are for businesses who are satisfied with tracking information on pieces that are added to the mailing, rather than the actual mailing. SmartSeeds are combined with the regular mailing and addressed to the Postmaster/Mgr at a postal service facility.

Information is scanned upon arrival at the destination postal facility and the piece is forwarded to the Postmaster/Mgr who discards the SmartSeed. Collected mail-tracking data identifies the date and time when the piece arrived, and the location. You may access this information through MailTrak SBE within hours of the scan!

GrayHair Software makes your life easier by offering pre-built seeding profiles that capture a list of top destination cities that are identified by the USPS as scanning the highest volume of outbound mail. For a nationwide mailing, use pre-built profiles. Do you have a more localized mailing? Create and save your own custom seeding profiles from a selection of more than 1,400 PLANET Code-enabled cities.

SmartSeed addresses will be sent to you via e-mail as either a text file that can be merged into your mail file, or a PDF file of labels that may be printed and affixed to your mail pieces.
